I had a similar Targus laptop case for work with 3 gussets (this one only has 2), but my work one was rather large. I wanted something a little lighter with a smaller footprint and this one fits the bill. The small front zipper area is perfect for wires, ac power cords, pens, mice, etc. The middle compartment is for your laptop. It has bottom and side bumpers for smaller laptops…so if you have a 13.3 inch laptop you can use it for that as well. For my 15.6″ laptop you’d take one of the bumpers out and lay the other one flat on the bottom of the bag. For carrying a smaller laptop you’d use both bumpers in the bottom corners…this gives you bottom and side protection as well as holding the smaller laptop so that it doesn’t slide inside the bag. The back gusset is for folders, books, etc. or other storage. The shoulderstrap is nicely padded and comfortable. The zippers and clips are heavy duty and gunmetal grey (very nice looking). It’s a great bag for work or business, if you are a medium to light traveller. If you need to carry a ton of documents and books and more, then I would go with the 3 gusset model or probably something with wheels.

A well constructed lap top case. My 15 inch fits very snug into the holder. I am quite please with the stitching, zipper and material. Very well made.

 Nice Bag – Lousy shoulder strap hardware, By

Although this bag is fairly lightweight by itself, has several different size carrying compartments to accommodate a wide range of computer pats and accessories and will accommodate a 15-16″ laptop [diagonal], the design of the hardware to attach the strap to the bag is faulty. I have been using this bag for about 2 weeks and already the strap snap catch hardware has jammed onto the metal loop permanently affixed to the bag. The first time I was able to free the snap catch but the second time it was so securely jammed that the catch had to be destroyed in order to remove the strap. I would not recommend purchasing this or any other Targus bag with a similar strap mechanism until Targus redesigns the hardware to make it jam-resistant. |
